Not sure what Decathlon are doing at the moment? when you check the stock of the 'few' bikes they are advertising on their website, there is very limited choice, if any at all?!

I think that seems to be par for the course with the b'Twin road bikes. Their stock levels seem to ebb and flow like the tide, but unfortunately without the predictability! Not sure if it is just a case of their popularity, or a marketing approach or limited capacity.

If you select size L and click 'reserve and collect' then put in your region it shows that most stores now have them in

Can't even see the reserve and collect button on the website anymore - just the "Inform me by email..." button.

Shows L in stock in Southampton, when that store was selected the 'reserve and collect' disappeared but the L and XL became bold showing available to order. I can't seem to sign out now to get back to 'reserve and collect', might have to clear cookies. Cleared cookies and 'reserve and collect' became available again, I don't think you actually can as you need to choose a store then the option disappears, but it does show stock. It may be blocked to prevent people buying bikes that are already reserved, but they should be there to view.

I popped in to the Deca store in Tarbes (fr) last week, partly to get out of the rain and to see the new range of road bikes particularly the Alur. Whilst there were a vast number of bikes on display there were only two road bikes, a white T3 and a Mach 700. No sign or mention of the Alur. The T3 was priced at E399 which is considerably more expensive than in the UK. I thought I might pick up a few bargains but even allowing for the current strength of Sterling its much cheaper to buy on line in the UK.

I'm sure we've got some alur 700 in Large (i think) on shop floor for sale. Whitestar1, just thought I'd give you a heads up if you wanted to have a look. They've been there a while now, i think about 2 weeks.

I think several stores have them in large, as Reading and Southampton have had them in recently too. Not so good for us medium types. Need to do some stretching

Ok, I've changed my mind. I popped into the Belfast store to get some camping gear and they had an Alur 700 on display. The photographs really don't do it justice, though I only got to see it from a low down angle but dare I whisper it <Cycle to Work Scheme>.
