Hi, I had been contemplating taking up cycling for years!! I then got a new job at company that actually rents part of a Decathlon car park for its employees. At lunch times I kept perusing Decathlon's bikes (and stuff) . I fancied the Triban 3 which I used to drop in and look at every now and then for over a year (I know - don't comment). Anyway while I was procrastinating B Twin brought out the Triban 3A (white) and with it came brake lever gear shifters (and Microshift got reasonable reviews wherever I looked). This did it for me. It might surprise some but this was a great improvement for me. At this price and my level of riding they were more attractive than the carbon forks which were no more. And I preferred the white. Shut my mouth I know but hopefully I will still be welcomed by you Triban 3 'reds'. I found your forum in my endless researching to find the best bike for me.
