There will be 50 people , and we are riding in groups of 10 . And we then get to have breakfast and talk with him afterwards - lasts around 2hrs Hmmm. I was just doing a sort of mental calculation...... What you might come away with = Extent of generosity / number of people taking part Sadly the result is not equal to "bike"

I wouldn't mind trying one of his bikes. But to be honest, I don't really like the look of them. Give me a Triban any day agreed

That's really cool. Be sure to report all about it on here. I reckon he may be a little concerned when he sees how good the Triban is for the amount it cost. I did about 35 miles on mine today and it didn't miss a beat!

I went to an evening with Sir Chris Hoy last night at Evans Cycles in Cardiff. It was a great evening, listening to Chris talk about his career and his future, followed by getting a decent amount of memorabilia signed (autograph collecting/selling is a little sideline I have going). And to top it off, free beer! It was an hour or so on the train from here, but worth it, If he is in your neck of the woods, and you can get a ticket, then go and see him. Legend.

I was lucky enough to win an invite to one of these as well - Monday afternoon got to do a nice little circuit including Box Hill. I got to chat to Sir Chris whilst riding up the second half of Box Hill, I didnt even notice the incline! If only all hills were like that! He seems a really nice guy, very down to earth and didnt seem to mind being asked what must be the same questions all the time.
