Isn't it usual practice to increase the spec on a newer model? Whether that be bikes, cars, cameras, you name it. Triban don't seem to be playing the game at all. If you notice carefully though, They have. They've done it through the frame spec rather than the names. T3 now with sora groupset - £429.99 (T5a) T5 now with tigra groupset - £599.99 (T7) FC3, now in white and better quality in frame and carbon spec - £1099.99 (FC5)

Thanks alot arny. In your opinion do you think t5 black is worth the extra £130 over the t3 red? Well I'll put it short for you. T3 in general = £300 A set of shimano Sora 3500 Shifters (2013) = £144 Total = £444 T5 black with: - Sora 2013 levers, sora front mech, sora rear mech, sora 9 speed cassette sora triple crank & hollowtech II tiagra BB... Total: £430. Need i say more?... Thanks. I guess that's a resounding yes from you.

Triban don't seem to be playing the game at all. thats BTWIN for you, never the expected, the new range seems to get compared with the old range which is natural as both ranges are still available i think the new 3a is aimed squarely at those looking at vikings and other such cheap tat and it offers a near cost point with a better package - dont be fooled into believing that you must only have a carbon fork, thats marketing pish for you but having siad that carbon is nice the new t5 IMO is a step up from the old one, despite losing the carbon stays the gruppo more than makes up for it and the new paint job is fine indeed the seven.....im too biased, im still in the first throes of the love affair and with carbon rear stays and forks and full tiagra it is more than enough for someone who isnt racing but still wants quality the whole thing is a re-alignement - we wont see the old days of the t3 again, that bike was a loss leader im sure, it got the name on the streets and people into the stores but i cannot see how they made money on them unless you are talking small % but massive scale BTWIN wont do the normal, but that is the reason i like them

I think for british road cycling its 'the beatles' bike, the one that took it to the masses whod never heard of roubaix or abdoujaperov quality prevails mate, i genuinely think btwins will get very much more expensive in the coming years, despite mass production the quality is there

I definiately agree i am a big fan of the brand, not because i work for them, but because ive got to get all the insiders of whats new and how it works. Its just such good quality. Thats why they've now become lifetime warrenty on there bike and that there bringing out a new lock that will change security as we know it. ....

Now if im corrct with what decathlon do, if you buy a bike with the lock. you sign a contract. and if you bring the lock back, CUT, with the record off the police saying it was stolen. Then they'll give you your bike back FREE.

The point at which I'd decided roadies were cooler than stumpjumpers was when he decided to go off for a pie on the champ reprint in 90, I know it was mayhem but he still finished, that got me and he was with Patna at the time too, coolest top ever IMO, but strangely only IMO
