An aldi turbo fluid trainer. Never used a turbo before, will be good for the evenings when the wife is at the gym and I'm looking after the kid. It doesn't have any adjustable resistance, but I'm looking forward to getting on it!

I like my fluid trainer (mine's and Elite power fluid) a lot. If you dig about you could likely identify which turbo it really is a rebranded version of, and find a power curve for it - or mock it on zwift/trainer road.

demonkarlos everybody I know who tried one of those Aldi fluid trainers took it straight back after their first go. The roller that the tyre works on is made from very soft plastic and they were wearing grooves in it in as little as 30 minutes. Hope you fare better but I'd start asking if the receipt is around...

Interesting, thanks. I haven't used it yet, but just set it up during kid's nap. Will let you know how I get on. Reading some other forums, some people had the roller cylinder replaced. I live next to an aldi so get lots of stuff from there. On the one occasion where something did go wrong, their customer services were very good at replacing the defective part.

I do my shopping a lot in Aldi (its very convenient), and despite what many think, I agree, they are very good at takign stuff back.. .the QC leaves a lot to be desired, but when stuff is faulty, there's never a problem, and its very very cheap.

A nice relaxed Christmas with plenty of washing up to do. My reward for all the domestic duties is a weekend ticket and hotel accommodation for the British Cycling National Track Championships in Manchester at the end of January. www.britishcycling.org.uk/britishtrackchampionships?c=ENGoing to this too Dave, got the Championship Pass so will be there Fri, Sat & Sun. Fancy meeting for a beer? Laura Trott-Kenny has pulled out due to an injury, RobP

Yeah saw that a few days ago @davefy7 as she was supposed to be doing Six Day Berlin and then the National Champs but being quoted as hamstring injury
Thinks it leaves the womens endurance events open to Katie Archibald and Neah Evans also looking to the Rotherham brothers Matt and Tom for sprint success
We are Block M seats B8 and B9 where are you sitting?

We're sat in the low life section. Block D Row P 14 and 15.
I haven't got a clue about any of the blokes riding now that Wiggo has retired. I've head of Marchant, Archibald and Storey and that is about it.
