OK, Christmas 2015 is already a memory but it's legacy still lives on when looking at my waistline!
Yeah, it's the most wonderful time of the year, but we don't half eat a load of crap! Christmas dinner, an excuse to gorge yourself on good food, ie, meat and several veg. Top that off with a hugely calorific Christmas pudding of too large a portion necessary. I think most people eat and drink beyond excess. Who else eyes up the selection boxes and says "I'll shift these and start my training programme in the new year" But what now?
I'm currently enjoying a fallow period before hitting the turbo in the new year. (There, already said it!) Also hoping to get the T3 out on the road if weather permits. Yes, Christmas 2015 was a good 'un. But really? Did I have to eat and drink so much?

450 miles in the last 7 days and no weight increase at all. I guarantee I've scoffed and drunk more than most on here as I needed plenty calories to burn. No excuse for being a fatty when you own a bike.

No excuse for being a fatty when you own a bike. It's one thing owning a bike Rocket I have 3. My expanded waistline would suggest I haven't been actually riding them for a while though!

Weight went up a few pounds over the 3 family get together days of Christmas but soon neutralised to exactly the same as before Christmas, via 100+ kms n 2000+ meters of vertical yesterday. Started a 22 week regime leading up to Velothon last week, so now 2 lbs lighter of plateau through December. This was achieved via turbo n road rides - once New Year's is out the way then the carb regulation regime tightens further. Using MyFitnessPal you can measure it and manage it. FTP rising, weight falling, Watts/KG are king - flying by spring!

Me unfortunately. I'm going to have a check on NYE so that I can complete my year's worth of entries on the Mass Minimiser Challenge and having a starting point for 2016!

Reckon you can cut yourself some slack over net balance this year Paul, a little drift over Christmas is fine, back on proper regime 1st Jan.

Probably about 3-4 extra pounds over Xmas. Want to lose about 10 pounds by April when races start again

I'm pretty gutted to have gained 0.5kg over Christmas, not much, but then I completed the festive 500, but cycling 250 miles in 3 days (eve-day-boxing) and I didn't pig out at all, I kept tracking my food and had a net calorie deficit of several 1000kcal... so I'm (larger) gutted about that... if I was going to gain, I may as well have pigged out entirely.
I'm hoping the training has kicked my metabolism so I'll start to lose the weight now... I have 3-4kg to lose for target race weight. Hoping my Crimbo vivosmart HR will help.

Who's piled it on? Me.
Been ill on-and-off for much of December, and not riding or running much as a result. That combined with seasonal over-indulgence has resulted in the addition of around 5lbs to my person (topped 12st for the first time in years). Hopefully it will disappear once I shake this persistent cough and get back out there.

No excuse for being a fatty when you own a bike. That's not true, I've made lots of excuses over the last month

Not much cycling before Xmas and only a couple of rides over Xmas, 9 days of eating and drinking was bound to pile on the pounds. So, not all Xmas weight but either way i've still got about 6lbs to shift followed by a few more pounds before my trip to Spain at the end of Feb.
