The few pics I've seen, I sprint from really low, really makes a fantastic difference. I'm surprised all the big sprinters aren't trying it. He looks a bit of a 'tiddler' perhaps in the mould of Cavendish?

He looks a bit of a 'tiddler' perhaps in the mould of Cavendish? He is, 5'5ish and 61kg. I wonder if that's why it doesn't work for the big guys (Griepel, Kittel etc.), I too an tiny (5'7 - 64kg [at the moment]), and sprinting like that "just happened", I don't think about it at all, just put my head down and go as hard as I can, and it happens - you can probably guess which was me: That was over a year ago too, I'm lower now I've got a better core.

A racey looking DeRosa with trick wheels and full Dura Ace Di2. A handy replacement.

Only new kit in this instance. Fair play to the race referees for waiving the rules in this instance. I know consitency is important but Farrar stays in the race and the race gains a lot of free publicity. Win win.

Shame it wasn't a T3, would have been interesting to see how a pro got on with an alu bike with 'flexy' bb and frame.

Earlier I posted a link to a vid of yesterday's mountain top finish at the Tour de San Luis. It was poor quality but an impressive climb and win by the relatively unknown Luis Sepulveda. My post has been deleted. I understand why but I don't know how to insert a vid without providing the link. Generation thing I'm afraid.

If you click on the YouTube tag in the pop up from the streaming site (it's on the actual moving graphics) - you should get a new YouTube tab on your browser, you can get then copy the direct YouTube link - then use the red reply button on the right, search the top to find a clapperboard icon and insert the video directly. The video is linked above (I think it's the one you did anyway).

I watched the original with a Spanish commentary not that I could understand it all but at least they had a clue what was actually happening in the race. I don't suppose I will ever get to Argentina but it would be climb worth doing.

Giant-Alpecin riders taken out by a car on a training ride in Spain. Several hospitalised including Degenkolb. Seems the car, driven by a British lady veered onto the wrong side of the road. Hope all recover quickly. Terrible photo doing the rounds of pieces of bikes strewn al over the side of the road.

Do we know the facts on this yet? Have avoided reading too much social media but have seen enough to realise there's plenty of hearsay - if you've been keeping up with it, then would be good to know the truth.
