How the hell did Dumolin manage to stay with pure climbers?

I picked the winner of the stage, and I'm out of the running despite topping the league as I have the disqualified moron and Pelucchi (the IAM guy that was badly injured) - shame he seemed a bargain int he wrong bracket (was a good bet for top places in the 6 sprint stages). A well... winning the league for today.

My thinking exactly with Pelucchi. Consistent top 6's in the sprints without needing to blow big points on Bouhanni (a consistent crasher). I had Chavez but ditched him. Urgh.

Pelucchi doesn't seem the bargain he was though.

Pleased that Sagan has got the monkey off his back but even more pleased that Bouhani scored me some points following the Nibali stupidity. I thought that Nacer might have been out of it after yet another crash today

Upto 2nd place for me thanks to Demoulin yesterday and Sagan today.
Better take a screen grab to remember it before I drop back down

Rob T is doing well and is in 7th place overall. Unfortunately he is down to 6 riders but its still possible to stay near the top if they are the right 6. Chaves was an inspired choice and not on many people's radar nor was Dumoulin I suspect.
I hope Bouhanni is not disqualified after his sticky bottle incident today or Rob will be down to 5 and my team 7.

Chaves was an inspired choice and not on many people's radar nor was Dumoulin I suspect. I hope Bouhanni is not disqualified after his sticky bottle incident today or Rob will be down to 5 and my team 7. I was really pleased with my team, I thought I'd got a few stupid bargains having looked at the parcours, Chaves screamed bargain at only 6 points for someone who would be up there on the shorter climbs and still able to hang around in the GC, as did Matteo Pelucchi, that was a shame as he'd be up in the sprints and wasn't classified as a sprinter. We all know that Sagan is an awesome Jack of all trades, and with his team having no REAL GC hope, I thought they'd do more for him. Dumoulin seemed value for just 6 too, viable on the less extreme climbs (as he showed), should be up there in the TT and will be getting assist points from anything Degenkolb manages to do. With 9 summit finishes, though not all big mountains, Danny Moreno seemed a decent shout and I still expect Bouhanni to take at least 3 stages this vuelta. Losing Nibs, Cancellara (though I suspect I could have done better for 6... not sure who though) and Pelucci rather kills my team.
