Just a quicky, seems I only ever come on for advice at the moment rather than being social... My rear derailleur...it has and always does rub...I have two theories...either A I am missing a spacer on the rear cassette that is screwing the chain line or B the derailleur hangar is bent and causing it to be running squiffy. Below (if it loads) is a picture of where it is rubbing on the spokes side...any ideas?

How many miles? Could be the bushing and Jockey wheel have worn allowing the Jockey wheel to flop to one side. Can you wiggle the jockey wheel significantly and have lazy shifting? If so then you need to replace it. I used to make oversize bushes for my microSHIFT derailleur but I'm now on 105 5800 and not had to yet.

Not enough miles, it's done it from 0 miles and now on around 650miles on it. There is no lateral movement in the jockey wheels at all.
It's 105 5700 on my Alur, so I would expect better... I did take it recently to Decathlon to address it, however they didn't see to do much except screw my rear brake up and leave my front derailleur cable loose so it slipped out...

It also seems to be massively worse in the big ring.

Quick fix. Spread the cage with some needle nose pliers. Your picture shows damage to the outside of the cage on the spokes side. This can only have happened if the wheel was not present as the spokes will not have caused it. Problem probably worse in big ring as the angle on the derailleur will be more vertical.

That simple?
Should I take the chain off first?
