A club member recently had a crash, and smashed his phone in the process, so when he went to hospital they had no idea who he was. Carrying a simple piece of paper in a jersey pocket, saddle bag or placed in your phone case really helps. Here is a little pdf you can download and fill out your details and keep with you. barnsleyroadclub.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Emergency-ID-Detials.pdf

Just a quick thought triggered by this thread.......... I've had ICE details on my phone forever... but my phone needs a password to access the menus/contacts page. Thoughts please!

Make yourself a custom background with your details on it?

Make yourself a custom background with your details on it? That's exactly what I did before iOS8 came out. Check your screen size and make an image that fits the lock screen and have the important info on there. It's easy to do with most simple drawing programs on your computer. Positioning the text so it fitted around the number keys for the lock code was the most time consuming part.

Apparently I can add emergency contacts that are accessible from my lock screen even when it's pattern protected, so I have done that now. Boyfriend, both parent's mobiles and home.
Still plan to get a physical "something" with my details on. Tag, or card etc.

I've been carrying a piece of paper with contact details in a zip lock bag with my phone and money, just recently I've got an engraved dog tag with the ICE symbol ( flea bay Β£4.99 ) on the front and my details ( name, dob, wifes name/contact number and my penicillin allergy ). Recently discovered that on my phone ( cheapy with an Android operating system ) there is a setting in the security section which allows your details to be displayed on the lock screen above the keypad display in a rolling format, think I've got it covered.
