Speaking of hot... tonight's time trial will be a tad toasty, should be lightning fast if endurance can get over the heat (which I doubt, I tend to wilt in this kind of weather). Bottle in the freezer I likely will have to drink being a 25 in this temperature (a 10 I'd take it and not run it).
Question is, should I take the visor off the helmet... often ends up with sweat running down it on a mid teens day... but I'l be slower without... decisions decisions.

Wear a headband of a thin skullcap perhaps to stop the sweat from running. If the atmospheric conditions are favourable then you may as well make as much benefit from it as possible.

Yep... I dug out an old headband earlier. Should be lightning as the pressure isn't desperately high - but I fear I won't cope in the heat.
Good practice for my open TT debut on Saturday anyhow (assuming I have a place, not yet confirmed) - same course and likely to be hot then too.

Get the sleeves rolled up a little and maybe skip on the gloves? I talk like a man of experience but I've never raced a TT in my life. I just like to read up on the tech side of things.

My sleeves are already on the CTT limit (I'd not be called for riding a sleeveless in a club event... but as this is a practice run for Saturday [now confirmed off at 15:54] I want an experience as similar as I can get [temps look similar at 8 tonight and 4 Saturday on current forecasts]). I can't say I'm a fan of going gloveless, but I think that's a good call. I'll probably not bother with my shoe covers either... will make me slower, but cooler. Tempted to empty a water bottle over head just before the off - let evaporation help.

The half n half idea, part frozen, part not - didn't actually touch it on a short hour tonight as not really that hot but at a nice temp when finished.
