OK, I've had enough of this wind now. When does it get down to more manageable levels?

OK, I've had enough of this wind now. When does it get down to more manageable levels? Before the Velothon - please!! If we get a strong SW wind on the Tumble I'm going to ask for a refund!

East Yorkshire calling...Its windy here all the time, regardless of what the forecast says. On my commute home tonight it was a raging headwind all the way and most of it is uphill. I was 6 mph slower at times compared to my normal commute, but the heart rate was higher than normal. Oh joy.
But my thinking is that you get double the workout.
At least it doesn't rain much!

Killer headwind on the way home last night. And cold too - back in the winter bibs this morning. With the mudguards back on :-(

I've got a Triathlon next weekend. It was brutally windy last year - hoping for calmer conditions this year. This wind is ridiculous.

Dry later today, nice tomorrow, Monday is a rest day anyway (if you went long on Sunday) - wind is grim but on the bright side it's resistance one way and assistance the other. Just lower expectations of good averages and get on with it. You'll fly on a still day, no-one gets better sat on the couch all week.

Me. And it is a little unseasonal for sure. But on the positive side, the cherries have stayed up on my tree this year. Really important question: Do I run the 55m deep front for tonight's TT?

Depends if it's cross winds on heads n tails. Former no, latter yes, just keep a grip on the front and get ready to roll with gusts.

Yeah, deep rims should be ok on front, but maybe not on the back wheel

I ran with 52's on Sunday, pretty scary at times!

It's not going to be the best night for a PB, so hardly worth worrying too much, do what suits but if you fall off it's not my issue ! On an aside, I got hit by a vicious side gust coming past the stanchions on the old Severn Bridge two weekends back, I'm used to them as it's been happening on cars and motorbikes for years on there but this one was so vicious it almost grabbed the bars out my hands - I'm not exactly a weakling and on low profile clinchers so it was a bit of a shocker - stayed on but did a big swerve; it's down to luck whether it happens or not.
