Right; noticed a few rides ago that I have an audible squeak from somewhere. It sounds to me like it's from the bottom bracket, however sometimes I hear it on rotation, sometimes it's not, nearly 100% when in the saddle.
This is a new thing, not heard it before, however previous to the noise, these parts have been changed:
Had a new rear wheel fitted by decathlon New handlebars by myself Saddle bag fitted by myself Moved seat forward slightly
That's about it. I don't want to start tightening bits without further assessing the cause.

saddle and handlebars are both likely culprits. I'd detach both and then reattach with a re-grease - no harm to do there, and its likely one of them (probably the saddle if when in the saddle and not when out - I'd expect the bars to be the other way round).

Pedals? I have a knocky knock at the minute. I had it a few weeks ago and suspected it was the BB. Got that tightened up and the problem was resolved. I think this one may be the freewheel. It's one of the B'Twin stock wheels and can come on whether pedalling or not. Everything sounds like it's coming from the bottom bracket.

I reckon it's your knees ..... mine make an awful racket, and WD40 didn't work either!

Can't tell from you profile pic but pedals are you using? I had a really annoying squeak a few weeks back when I pedalled normally. Twist my left foot a tad and the squeak would go away. A few squirts of lube, not sure if it was GT-85 or WD-40, on the pedal and cleat removed the offending noise.

Could also be your seat post - mine was *slightly* loose on my old T3 - for the longest time I thought it was the headset - but it turned out to be the seat post.

I had a squeak from somewhere sounding like the BB. I spent time looking at new options, chains etc and then I found this article: www.bicycling.com/maintenance/bicycle-repair/bike-repair-bottom-bracket-creakAnyway, armed with an allen key, I tightened the chain rings this morning before leaving to work. Hey Presto, no squeak or creak, even when I am out of the saddle. Total cost Β£0. Total time: less than 1 minute. If this doesn't work, then look at the other recommendations.

Thought I'd cracked it today, as I was out tightening up the handlebars and tried the chain rings. Nothing budged! I've changed bar tape today and fiddled about some more today, so hopefully I've cracked it. After my daughter goes to sleep I think I'll try lubricating the pedals.

Seems to have gotten louder. I cannot seem to reproduce it. It just happens randomly. No idea where its coming from!

I got a very strange one on Saturday. An annoying squeak has developed but only when on the inner ring.
