For years I've always used cheap cycling kit. Never seen the point in forking out for the designer stuff - what could it do differently to my cheapo stuff? Then I managed my first century the other week. 7 hours in the chair (a Brooks B17). I was OK after it, sit bone wise, but noticed a rash right in the crease between buttock and thigh. It got worse. It hurt - alot. Gave it a weeks rest and tried again. It still hurt despite being marinated in Sudocrem for a week. So I resorted to the internet for inspiration as you do and came across Assos Uno Bibs. Great reviews but cynical me thinks that people who make expensive purchases often give rave reviews to justify the purchase. However, I weakened at finding them at the Assos Factory Outlet in my size for Β£87 after a 10% discount code I found with google(gulp!). They turned up promptly and I tried them on (wearing pants of course in case a return was required). They are sized by your height only so I bought Large as I'm 183cm with an ample waist (38"). The fit was fine- and my initial reaction was "These feel different. The pad actually fits where it should and I can't move it around. Hmm". Been out today in them, done a 56 mile 3hr 20min ride and never felt so comfortable on a bike! Nothing moves, they fit like a second skin. They feel great and absolutely no undercarriage issues which I took as a given on all such rides before. So there you are, they're expensive - even discounted, but its the best upgrade I've bought for my bike in ages! www.assosfactoryoutlet.com/

Possibly being harsh, but if the cheap-o ones pads are moving around, it's not coz their cheap, it's coz they don't fit properly.
That said, how cheap-o is cheap-o? The lidl one's shaping is completely wrong for me, butt he decca and DHB ones are perfect. (actually 1 of my DHB pairs the lower end of the shorts legs are too wide ... which is odd as I certainly have sprinters thighs not climbers thighs)

I'd agree r0b1et, harsh. Nearly 50 and can't find shorts that fit, such a shame.
Glad you're happy for me though.
