Hello All, Has anyone tried or does anyone know if it is possible to fit mudguards onto an Alur 700? On Decathlon website, it mentions that a pannier rack cannot be mounted which uses the same eyelets. Presumably, you could use SKS mudguards which mount on the chainstay, but as there is no rear brake, would it still work effectively as there'd be a gap between the two separate parts of the rear mudguard? Before anyone asks why I want to fit mudguards to it, it's because this bike is my Winter bike so ideally want to fit mudguards for during the winter. Thanks

Thanks If the aim is to save your own clothes then you can always fit a seatpost mounted rear guard. If it's to save others and/or the bike then that needs more.

Id be amazed if it was possible to do more than ChrisD suggests, with no brake bridge, there's nothign to hold it.

Raceblades on the chainstays is your only option I think.

Don't raceblades also hole the brake bridge (via the brake bolt)?

Don't raceblades also hole the brake bridge (via the brake bolt)? Raceblade shorts don't - they stop just shy of the rear brake. Not sure about longs.

I have a set of these. I got them for my T3a but decided to use them on the Alur over the winter. The front guard doesn't fit the Alur as the down tube is too big but it sort of acts as a guard in itself. The rear one fits fine but isn't very long so won't prevent anyone behind you from getting a faceful of muck.
