It does look different to a T3 what is it? Like the red nipples on the spoke ends.

I have one of each in my stable.
A Triban 3 that my wife rides and a Mekk Pinerolo AL 1.0 Sora thats mine.
I got the Mekk from wiggle for £445 and it is a great bike, the spec is slightly newer/better than the review above.
The shifters are the new Sora, tyres are vittoria zaffiro, seat is Selle Italia, chain is shimano, wheels are shimano r500 and there are a few small cosmetic changes like silver jagwire cabling.
Its a nice, light (9.2kg) bike and I love it.
Think the red colour may be similar to the triban but that's about it.

I have had my T3 for just over a year now and its been a brilliant purchase in so many ways. However if were now where I was a year ago I would be really tempted by this. The finish on the frame is I believe superior and the components better than the standard T3. It must be worth the additional £133. I have a suspicion that competition is driving down the cost of bikes in general. www.wiggle.co.uk/mekk-pinerolo-al-10-sora-2013/Heresy I know and I have set my horizons higher for future projects so its no longer of interest. The big downside of course is that there is no Mekk owners club that I am aware of.

A year ago, the Mekk carbon Poggio with Tiagra was around £1,200 and promoted as the best value on the market. I road tested one at Partridges the bike shop on the Plymouth road just outside Exeter. Wiggle now have it at £749 and with 105 components for £899.

Anything that makes cycling more affordable and gets more people enjoying the hobby/sport is a good thing. Cheers chaps, pray for some dry weather
