What made you go with the 52/36 with an 11-32 cassette rather than just going down the compact route? Only reason i ask is i've decided for now my 53/39 it too much for me and putting me off the tough climbs, thinking of getting a compact to swap between or just stick a 52/36 and leave it on.

Mainly because I like to go as fast as possible down hill but didn't want to go 53/39 as going up hills are a big challenge for me. What I lack going up I even out going down lol. I'm hoping I've made the best choice to suit me but if not I could always buy the 34 and 50 cogs and swap.
