Right, so with clocks going soon, I intend for the summer to set my T3 up as my TT bike, and use the Rose for normal outings.
So what will I need to do:
- slam stem - fit aero bars - move saddle forward - kill front bottle cage
any more?

In particular train with aero bars on. Position takes some getting used to if not done it both to hold the position and to steer (although steering fairly simple with bit practice ). I did some 10mile tt last summer autumn without aero bars on my red t3 and enjoyed them. Plan on doing quite few more this year and bought myself some cheap aero bars which used in training only.

I've used them on the of nice day all winter, willing to take "surprisingly tight" corners on them if the guy who passed me if believable.

With all this wind I wonder what sort of time I can do. Its a pretty lumpy course too (who puts 4-5% gradients in 10 mile TTs?) and the wind will be pretty serious, I'm expecting the start/finish to be a real slog as looks set to be right into the face of the wind. its the same course as my first ever go 11 months ago where I set a pretty terrible 30:56, I'm WAY fitter, and much more used to ridding at that speed, better equipped - though not rested. In decent conditions I'd totally destroy that time, but I honestly ahve no idea tonight... I'll be gauging this one from my heart rate as speeds will mean nothing int he wind.

The saddle bag is for the trip there and back, that isn't staying... I doubt the bottle will either.

Just had an email from the local Club secretary extending a warm welcome for my first 10 mile TT in a couple of weeks time I hope. That's also on a course with some kicks and gradients including a 3-4% to the finish line. Figured it makes other 10 mile courses nearby seem a little easier after that! Incidentally Rob, why the T3 as the TT machine, and not the Rose? I need to decide if I'm going to go with the T3 or the Mach.

r0b1et you have forgotten to fit the 53/39 chainset I'm seriously considering a 52 chainring. I'd expect to be in the 50-11 tonight on the downhill downwind stretch... I can spin like mad though so for now I can make do. I'm way uncool running a triple anyhow, but my plan is the winter bike can be the TTer.

I don't want to spend my life messing with the set up on it, the t3 is now setup for TTing, stem slammed, aero bars, seat forward, only one bottle cage. The weight isn't such a problem (on most courses) and since the t3 went tiagra the stiffness difference isn't big.
