Clarkson is a comedic genius, the producer only had to put boiling water in the pot noodle cup for gods sake Mountain and molehill, they are desperate to axe the beebs best asset while continuing to cover up the '....fix it' legacy, priorities are shot with that organisation +1

I must admit I commute 2-3 times a week and very rarely get any issues. Odd bit of inconsiderate (rather than malicious) driving that I shake my head at but in the whole I find most people are fine and I always make a point of waving thanks if someone lets me out or waits behind me for a bit where it's not safe to pass.

Good point, I always say thank you when a driver waits for me, even if I have right of way.

They? Us? Them? Shouldn't we perhaps add in words like 'some people' (be they on car or bike )? I try not to whinge about it too much on here, it's something of a fact of life at times yes and feel free to air your views but let's remember that it's not everyone that's 'bad', IME it's minorities who are probably a pain in all areas of life, whatever they happen to be driving / riding. Polarising the argument with the 'us and them' thing is half the problem IMO ... prevalent in the media / internet, across the Daily Mail, right through to the BBC etc. - why can't we just aim to get along? ---- Edit: parallel post! Nice one Paul - no YouTube link though? Check it out, check it out, check it out ! Reminds me, I must cut my hair! (Yes, I look like Dougie Trendle!!) I've never seen or heard that er song? Before I think I have survived quite well without it. But obviously I thank you for broadening my musical horizon. ? An my opinion on the shouters and haters they're a bunch of lady gardens that should probably go play with them selves whilst looking over the Littlewoods swimsuit section. Let it go! Cue let it go from frozen (it's not I wouldn't do that to you guys ) youtu.be/uty2zd7qizAAnd Clarkson, well he's a silly boy for planting a punch at the guy but he's got the PM on his side making public announcements saying " he's sorry for some of what he did " isn't it nice to have friends in high places. Having recently made the change to road cycling, with the increase in mileage I find myself more aware of other cyclist when driving, leaving more space by moving to the other side of the road if possible. As a motorcyclist I have always known that in a collision no matter who is at fault I am going to come out worse. What I find when cycling is that most drivers are courteous, some showing a lot of patience but there are a few who don't have a clue, horns blasting, comments, overtaking then braking in front of you and today an overtake on a 90 degree right hand turn in a lane with a 8 foot hedge, is radar an optional extra in cars these days ? All I can do is make sure that I am visible using lights and bright clothing even in daylight, and I am learning to ride more defensively using road position to block when approaching obstacles.

I've had experience of that attitude first hand, many years ago I was referred to an eye specialist, I arrived early for my appointment to find the waiting room full, then I was told the consultant would be at least 1 hour late starting because of delays on his hospital rounds, fair enough I thought, then they informed me that they ran on a first come first served basis and I was more or less the last to be seen that morning, seems others knew this and arrived early to queue jump, so why give an appointment time ? Three hours later I finally saw him for about 5 minutes, when I complained about the wait he got quite annoyed and told me he was a very busy man, when I replied that I my time was important to me as I work nights and should of been in bed, he got even more annoyed but offered no apology, I was left feeling very angry and found my next visit that I had been passed onto a junior. Having seen a few other consultants over the last 10 years for other issues, thankfully I've never come up against this attitude again.
