A random query, but something I have been musing on this morning. Every item of clothing I have bought thus far from Decathlon has massive labels in it. I have always left these as they don't really fuss me. The one exception being a hiking jacket I purchased, which had a security label that set off the alarm every time I walked into or out of a shop. Very annoying, so the label got cut out. Anyway, I didn't give this any further consideration until this morning, when I cycled to work in my shiny new winter gloves. The gloves were lovely, but left a sweaty patch where the labels are. So, my question is, what do you do? Are you a Decca label cutter, or do you keep them labels? I feel this is a very important matter that the BROC need to discuss!

First thing I do is try them on to see if the size is correct, if it is that label gets cut off, hateful things labels

If the item fits then off come the labels. Paying a fortune for seamless garments and flat stitching etc only to have a 4 page leaflet label attached that chafes like hell. Pointless.

Cut them once I know they are the right size.

I keep thinking I'll cut them off, but then I can't be bothered. The ones at the back of the neck are useful neck ticklers, keeping me awake when I go into a trance-like state on longer rides. My wife has gone further and left the label on her bike handlebars that states the frame size.

They tend to pull out quite easy. They were a right pain in the pictured gloves, the labels wouldn't stay tucked in so you could here them flapping in the wind.

Those labels are heavy and will adversely affect your hill climbing ability.

I tend to cut mine out but put a small mark somewhere that shows me the washing instructions as I can never remember what to do when they need cleaning and it ALWAYS seems to be the longest label that has the care instructions on.

Cut mine out usually, but keep them handy for a while so I can look at the washing instructions. The big security ones always go no matter what though.

Always cut them off once fit is confirmed. I don't worry about the washing instructions as I just leave the dirty stuff on the floor and the washing fairies sort it out ;-)

I'm a cutter usually. There are a few that I haven't got round to cutting off yet, like the massive ones on my base layers. They are so big and heavy they dangle down and I always think I have the shirt inside out. What I really want know is who are the two people who treasure their labels?

Bought a few base layers and jackets recently and they were overloaded with various labels. Very spiky too.
I'm a label cutter!
