That will be helpful to others, raboldi135 . The brand of tyre is pretty important with regards to clearance. There seems to be ample there. It's the mucky roads in winter that are a problem as they can get clogged up although they are easy enough to remove and clear out with a twig and a few squirts from a water bottle.

The raceblade longs have indeed been discontinued (see my other thread) as I emailed SKS to ask about them and they told me they had been discontinued because they are working on a new replacement (improved?) product for release as soon as they can. No idea what the difference will be or when they will come out. SKS website and catalogue removed the longs which made me email them to ask.
My longs were fitted to 650C wheels which needs modification as per the gateaux-velo web post (easy to google) so I specifically wanted the longs incase the newer ones arent as easy to modify.
So as it stands, no idea how different the newer versions will be (or when) but do know that right now there will only be leftover stock available for anyone wanting the current ones, so if you really want those, grab em while you can.
Gret photos on the fitting of this thread, well done.
