If you fit a size 59. Going to give one a try but don't hold out much hope according to the Deca size chart.

I'm on a 53 with the FC700 at 5'10'' with 32 n a 1/2'' leg, high ape index - as I've said, I like a compact bike with high seat to bar drop but I wouldn't consider it small even at 53, perfect for me, could go to the next size up but happy on this one, particularly as a warm weather 'on it' style bike. Edit: Looking on the chart, I am supposed to be borderline 57 - can't see me liking that size but horses for courses.

I remembered you prefer a smaller frame from previous posts but didn't realise your FC700 was a size 53. At 5ft 11 and about 31 in leg I think there's very little chance a size 59 will be anything but a torture device!

On the chart you're likely 57 but a 55 would give a sportier fit, comfort may be compromised - conditions and personal form / fitness also to be considered of course.

Thanks Rad. That's what I figured but only size 59 is available in the warehouse and the other sizes that show as in stock in the stores are usually there on reserve waiting for customers to collect. As Chas has pointed out in the past there's not much adjustment at the seat post on the Mach frame, not that I'd need to raise the saddle on a 59, but the higher seat tube on the frame means it's probabaly no go on a 59 for me. Worth a try but I'm keeping low expectations.

Go to the store and try it for size, every bike manufacturers frame is different, I have two bikes a 57" and a 58" and i prefer the fit of the 58, the 57 feels too big for me (too stretched) even though it is a smaller frame

I fancy one of these! But I can't justify it, so I'm telling myself that at 6ft 1' and 33' leg the 59 would be too small.
