Hello. I'm thinking of buying the triban 500 or 500se. Does it have mudguard eyelets on the front and back, and can a rack be fitted? Thanks in advance.

Hi I have the 500se and yes it has eyelets. I have attached mudguards to mine, though no idea if a rack can ALSO be fitted at the same time.
My wheels are 650 as I have the smaller 51 frame and as such picking mudguards that fit was impossible so I went for the sks raceblade-long which can be adapted to fit and I did just that, worked great. Google gateauxvelo for the guide if you have 650 wheels.
So, does the 500se have eyelets, yup!!! Though if you can have a rack and mudguards at same time, not sure.
Its a fantastic bike!!!!!!! I love mine.
Welcome to the forums.

I've just removed my zefal shield R30 mudguards which I fitted to my 500 at the same time as gatorskins, nearly impossible to stop rub and every time it got wet/leaf litter etc they rubbed until the front guard detached from the brake bracket, rotated forward and locked the front wheel on a group ride (after about 45 miles,) very fortunate it occured on a quite backroad. Found the front bracket to be worn thin which I think is pretty poor after about 300 miles, will be looking for replacements with proper fixings bonded or riveted to the guards.

I fitted the crud roadracer mk2 set which left the eyelets for my rack.
