www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-regulate-warm-knee-warmers/Was asked for a review so here it is. Worn for first time this morning on ride to work (about half hour). In a word - superb! I put them so top of knee warmers was about 3-4 inches under legs of my bib shorts and they stayed put perfectly. No slippage or creasing up. On the top of knee warmers them have silicon grippers on both sides to grip both skin and bib shorts. I ordered large and fit well. Easy to put on and quite long (left about a 1-2 inch gap between top of socks and bottom of knee warmers). Kept legs nice and warm - job done and recommended. Think Wiggle do them in a bundle deal with arm warmers as well.

Odd, and maybe obvious question, but are these just a less hardcore alternative to going all out with full length bib tights?

We discussed these in an earlier thread. My initial experience was not good because they kept slipping down my legs on the first ride but when I pulled them well up and pulled the shorts over the leg warmers they stayed in place. I wouldn't say they are a replacement for bib tights although they are fine in the mildish weather we are currently having. My dhb bib tights are of much thicker material and will provide better insulation on the cold days and of course they go right over the ankles and don't leave the gap Rob refers to. The advantage of the leg warmers is that you can take them off and put them in your pocket if it warms up.

Yes totally....but I have 4 pairs of bib shorts and this way for Β£17 I can turn them into bib tights (sort of) and wear them in winter. Alternative is paying load of cash for winter bib tights (which not appealing) or being v cold in bib shorts (as I was last winter and didn't want to repeat!)

I ordered a cheap pair of bib tights from aliexpress to see what they're like, and for the amount I'll be out in the winter (at least until early next year) one pair plus my shorts/under armour leggings combo should see me through the winter. Nearly bought the Aldi Winter cycling jacket tonight. If they've still got my size tomorrow, I'll probably pick it up as it seemed ok for Β£17.

I like the look of these. I think I'll stick with my full leg warmers for this winter and get these for March/April before the legs come out again. It's good to give my dodgy knee a helping hand with warming up.

The other good thing as I commute to work a fair bit is I can wear them in the morning when it's cold and then shove them in jersey pocket on return trip if/when it's warmer.
