Like many here I suspect I've spent years tinkering with bike adjustments to get that illusive "right fit" be it on mountain, road or recumbent.
I bought Phil Burt's book "Bike Fit" recently which is a fascinating read but to be honest wasn't as simple as I'd hoped.
A Google search brought up an app called "size my bike" for android or apple. Four quid.... I gave it a go.
I got a mate to help me with the personal measurements then put them in the app and it spat out dimensions to set the bike to. Turned out that both of us had the seat post too low, the saddle too far forward. The bars at the wrong height and stems that were too long.
My friends frame was also a size too big so we took off the oversize from the recommended stem length to compensate and sourced said stems from eBay for a few shekels.
Out for a ride on it today and Wow! No pins and needles in the hands, no sliding or shuffling in the saddle, seems like more power from my legs.....a different cycling experience!
For the cost, its excellent vfm in my opinion...thought I'd pass it on in case it helps anyone else.

Yes I did look at that before going for the android option. Think the saddle to handlebar drop is missing from the free one.....if that matters...
