Where to watch the Tour of Britain...
Southern England might be a good shout.

You'll be offending the Welsh and for what it's worth, it rotates up top and down bottom, visiting Scotland occasionally, it's only a week long race and it can't go everywhere every year or the transfers will be bonkers - except of course, it might not be in Scotland in the future !

It they have it in Scotland there won't be many lingering on the floor if they fall off. They'd get eaten alive by the midges.

Off to Liverpool for the first stage on Sunday. Letting the train take the strain but considering wearing cycling shorts just to fit in! Is this wrong?

Getting a bit giddy now. Early night Mr & Mrs Red, got a long day tomorrow. Weather forecast looking good, should be a top day.
Anyone else going toLiverpool for the kick off?

It was awesome!
The beauty of the circuit race is that you see the riders several times during the race. My God they were quick! The Liverpool stage was quite flat so presumably not too taxing for the riders. The lovely warm sunshine still made them get a sweat on though. We stood on the straight just down from the finish line and saw them ride toward the finish, then we turned round and watched them come down the other way!
Fantastic spectacle which I will remember for a long time.
Spotted a few Tribans whilst I was there which was good. Also spotted an obvious T3 which was decal led out as a BCYCLES where the Triban graphic normally is. A bit strange I thought. Definitely a T3 though, even had a B'Twin saddle bag on!

Just watched the Tour of Britain riding passed work. In the sunshine, pint in hand, excellent. Saw Wiggo and Kittle.

Going to see it tomorrow when they come through Horsham on the way to Brighton. They come past the bottom of my road. It's my lads 6th birthday tomorrow and managed to get his party moved to the Sunday so we can go and watch the tour come through town

Just about to leave for Camberley, probably get to see them at Deepcut but they will be at parade speed still at such an early point but better than nothing I guess.
