Im off work on Friday so want to watch the TOB, using the official site ive been trying to find out where the course goes as we want to try and see the king of the hill section, it looks like its near the Chilterns. On the site it says you can download the GPX file but it just goes to a page of programming language: www.tourofbritain.co.uk/stages/stage6/#.VAYjmKN77wzHas anyone got a link to strava or something, like was published for the TDF (http://blog.strava.com/2014-tdf-strava-press-page/) something where i can get the proper gpx file?

The links worked fine for me, download the file, upload it to the likes of BikeHike etc.

If you are getting the stage 6 gpx can you email the file Rad? Id be really grateful if you could send it to: taffytim@g**glemail.com

Do you really want the gpx file or, just want to see it on say google maps. To get the gpx file, you need to right-click it and then 'save as..', then do want you want with it. Or to view the route on google maps, click here

Firstly, apologies, it was code! ... but I've copied it all and saved as .txt before making it a .gpx, then uploaded and downloaded out of BikeHike as a check (it worked) and emailed to you! So that should sort you - if that doesn't work, then you're on your own !

I want it to look at the hills and gradients on bike hike, right clicking it doesnt let me save it in te right format. If i rename the file .gpx then it just adds this to the tiltle of the file it doesnt make it a gpx file so bike hike is not liking it. If anyone can email then i'd appreciate it

I don't think it's a rubbish site, these things happen with computers, just one procedure not followed absolutely precisely and it simply won't work, as far as I know, as yet, computers still work on binary and don't solve their own problems.

I need to find me a tounge in cheek smiley to use next time to express that i may not be making a statement that I fully believe in Although, Im sure you dont read responses as literally as you reply to them
