I would like a section to show links to useful videos that explain/show in good detail, repairs or adjustments that would help everyone tackle some things at home before resorting to a costly visit to a bike shop. Obviously there are lots of people on here at a different skill level, so some videos might be mundane to them, but we all need to start somewhere.....and I know that most people will put a reply on here with a link to a video anyway, but think it could save time if folk are in a hurry and the videos are already in a separate section/sub forum somewhere. 2 such videos I've made use of for reference for my own home tasks recently are: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLqrhFzW8s0Very clear instructions for changing/adjusting the inserts/brakes and sorting out the gearing, showing you what the screws actually done on the derailleurs. Another video I liked for adjusting the derailleurs is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTprZHCwoNcLets know your thoughts on this.

A one stop video maintenance section would indeed be a good idea for the technical forum rather than being spread across the forums. One for ianmoss I think. Maybe a sub forum within the technical forum for just the videos.

For a "one-stop shop" of repair videos you can't beat MadeGood; www.madegood.orgHigh-definition close up videos with accompanying step-by-step instructions. It covers almost every repair you could possibly want to do to your bike at home.
