Im looking at ordering a set of these so I'm ready for the winter. I know fitting mudguards on a T3 can be pretty hard. Anyone fitted these and if so could you pass on any tips I'd be very grateful Cheers

Quite a few threads on this if you search for them, some useful info. I bought some based on what i'd read on here but had problems with the front one (on a white T5) and in the end never bothered using it. I then had issues with the rear too so in the end took them off before winter was over. They do get good reports tho so don't let me put you off.

I have them on my T5a. No problem getting them on and no problems with them on. Much better than the SKS's I have on my winter commuter MTB.

Copied over from last time we were discussing Cruds :-)
I've used Crud Roadracer Mk2s on my red Triban 3 with stock wheels and tyres (23s). Back one easy to fit; front one rather tighter and particularly sensitive to the tension on the cable tie over the brake bolt (too tight and the βnoseβ at the front rubs on the tyre). Having said that, once set up they don't rub and have been fine at catching most of the Cheshire slop. I particularly like the extension on the front end of the rear mudguard to give the front mech some protection.

That's exactly why I bought them.

They are a bit fiddly to fit but not as much of a drama as some make out

Had them over last winter on my red T3, with Michelin Lithion 23s, which are pretty chubby & more like 25s in reality.
There's not a lot of clearance, the back was easiest but took a lot of hacksawing & filing to get a good rub-free fit.
There is next-to-no clearance on the front, eventually the only way I could get it to work well was to bin the front "beak" and file a substantial flat on the guard where it passes under the caliper. It did run without rubbing, but the couple of mm clearance over the tyre quickly fills up with mud & crap and needs scraping out after every ride!
If you have the patience to deal with the hassle of fitting them, they do a good job of keeping spray at bay & don't look as naff as many guards do.
Jon.

Take your time to fit them and follow the company's own youtube clip and they are fine, I had no problems with mine once they were set up properly.

This one is always going to appear at this time of year and IMO rightly so.
I fitted race blade long to my T3 customised the rear by adding cut down old guard secured by old friend duck tape.
There wasn't a lot of clearance as I have 25's, had to clean out crud build up every-so-often but for the most part they worked ok.
This time round I'll more that likely switch bikes.

I spend ages fitting the race blades to my T3 last night, fiddly fiddly fiddly, but I think I have them rub free and only had to hack about an inch off the bottom of the rear. The instructions on them are dire though- it might actually be easier without.

I must admit i'm not very happy with my crud mud guards.. very poor fit, flimsy plastic and constantly need adjusting before, during and after rides. I wouldn't recommend them.

I would recommend them, just use the youtube instructions, I had no problems at all.
