Hi was wondering if any one uses a Electric bike ,I own a beautiful Tonaro Bighit and use it a lot to ride to and from work, a few years back I rode up the Great orm in wales on it and what a thrill that was ,but the need for more exercise prompted me to buy my BTwin sport 1 so I have both for different needs ,here's a vid of what it looks like ,best wishes Brian.

My neighbour who is over 70 has bought one as it allows her to carry on cycling and keep up with her husband who was getting frustrated with her slowing him down on joint rides. Battery technology seems to have advanced a lot in recent years and range isn't a problem for them. I've had a go myself and am quite tempted to get one as a runabout. Certainly a better idea than a moped.

Hi thanks for the reply, I too was tempted to buy a moped until I saw the Tonaro big hit and its crank driven 250wat motor and 36v battery capable of achieving a distance of 30/40 miles per charge with a little leg assistance ,and the twist grip throttle is perfection ,some may say its a cop out but others who struggle soon realise what a god send it is to obtain a little help as we get older and with top speed of 15/20mph and more if assisted quite a dream machine ,very best wishes Brian.
