My Lidl overshoes were fine but the zips have failed on both and now I only have my Planet X neoprene versions which are far too warm for now.
I suppose I'm just looking for something to keep my nice white shoes clean and clean up the aero over the buckles.
Who's wearing what then?

What purpose do overshoes serve in the summer? (Genuine question) is it just to keep feet dry if it rains?

It's not about 'summer', it's temperature driven, I used Planet X Flanders style yesterday as out early, forecast 6 to 13 degrees during ride. Not used them on local loops recently as warmer. There are all sorts of grades for weather / temp control / shoe protection and ones to be aero. Think of them like jackets for feet.

I've got these and they have worn out on the bottom very quick. Also find the zip at the back doesn't stay up all the time which is a pain.
