not too bad at ours, zipoff sleeved jacket, pair of sunglasses and short sleeved top. Shoes looked a bit clumpy for my liking.

Sundays are my walking morning so didn't get to Aldi until midday, I noticed there was a lot less cycle traffic on the A6 than usual! However my local store wasn't too busy, mostly grocery shopping going on.
Just picked up some gloves, all I could justify buying really as it's all I needed. The soft shell jacket which zips off into a gilet however looked a very good Summer buy.

Delayed going as I watched my son play cricket instead. Dropped him back home and thought I'd head down. Got half way there, battling traffic, and asked myself what on Earth I was doing! There was no way that my body had magically transformed over night and I was just kidding myself in thinking that any of the stuff would fit. Also, why do I need it? I always wear my hi-viz windproof jacket over everything, so why do I need any cycling specific jackets or shirts? So, came home with a monk on, to cook the dinner and get the boys ready for their next activities!

Had a lie in this morning! Woke up and remembered the Aldi sale. Clutching a wad of birthday money I ventured off to my local. It was mayhem! Managed to buy a rucksack for the work commute (the one I have gives me a very sweaty back!) Bought the lightweight jacket in black and red. Went for the casual shorts for the MTB outings Also got a pair of RED sunglasses! Got a pair of normal black cycling shorts as well but have just returned them. Didn't like the broad hem around the bottom of the legs.
Impressed with the rucksack, nice and light. Also liking the lightweight jacket. Small bag in back pocket, the jackets stuffs away into it nicely and is small enough to shove in the back pocket of my jersey. Ideal for summer use when you get caught out in a sudden shower.

I've got one of their stuff in a bag high viz jackets last year - fantastic thing. Fits easily in jersey pocket and saved me a couple of times when went out and got caught in rain and or wind and got seriously cold. Always carry it now

We went all out! Two pairs of padded shorts each (for me and the wife), I got the soft shell jacket with zip off sleeves which I think is amazing (quite a few loose ends of threads on the stitching but 5 minutes with a pair of scissors tidied that up), the lightweight waterproof jacket, a pair of gloves each and a pair of socks as well as a couple of base layers for the wife.
It was pretty busy and some were getting a bit tetchy about people being in the way!

Oh dear oh dear spent way too much this morning......
Zipoff sleeves jacket Short sleeved shirt New Gloves (my old ones are getting quite scraggy) The pump (thought the gauge would be handy providing it works) And some socks
The jacket seems really good value and the shirt goes great with the bib shorts I got from decca a few days ago.

I went and had a look but left empty handed. Very tempted to get the softshell jacket but the ladies large was snug when I tried it on, thought it would only get snugger by the time I my jersey on (which is more material than the t-shirt I had on) and once I was leaning forward. Same problem with the premium jersey. I would have tried the mens X-Large but I couldn't find any. They had decided to put all the jackets in a big basket, with their hangers still on, so sorting through them was pretty much impossible. Might venture back tomorrow and see if it's any easier to find one. Still considering the arm warmers/compression layer still but again it was hard to sort through them all. Didn't even see the lightweight gilet. Probably for the best, I shouldn't be spending my money on things I don't really need.

Was in the Aldi near the in-laws so couldn't say no to 3 sets of socks and a wickable base - all outstanding VFM.

Was packed at my Aldi! I got a triathlon suit, premium cycling Jersey and gloves. As it's my first ever tri suit, I'm not sure how it compares, but I'm happy with the gloves and Jersey.
Was really surprised by the number of cyclists - it was packed! Never seem to be many out on the Wolverhampton area.

Might pop back for socks. I live 100 yards away, so I'm always popping in for bits.

Was there in theory only 10 minutes after it opened, but it was already packed by then and a queue for the parking . Maybe its like that normally in Hounslow branch every sunday though.
Came away with: Shorts, Casual Shorts, Socks, Base Layer, Shoes, Arm & Leg Warmers (not sure about these but some other guy talked me into it). A few other cyclists but not overly many.
