does anyone know if they put the stuff on Saturday evening whilst there still open, or is it done overnight ready for Sunday morning? Depends on the local store, I've heard reports of both approaches. Might be worth a pre emptive visit if you've got one local, no point asking in advance as I guess they're supposed to do it after store is closed. I've seen the putting stuff out the night before previously but without prices which apparently don't come 'out on the system' til the day

The store near me puts them out over night, last time I went 5 mins before closing and nothing was out. When I asked if they had any of the stuff they gave me a funny look and said come back tomorrow. Sunday's aren't a good day for these sales since I'm in church when the store opens.

I'm out for a ride tomorrow morning and as I've just seen an Aldi ad on the tv, I expect all the good stuff to have gone but the time in can get to any of the local stores

If the last 2 cycling events have gone I'm sure there will be lots left over the next few days / weeks. It has been the winter months though...

We have one round the corner from us (old Kent road) so we're heading over when it opens at 11. No specific list so could end up with a lot!

Anyone know difference between their premium jerseys and normal ones? The flippant answer if Β£7. But, the description on the premium jersey describes breathable mesh inserts, which I assume is the difference.

Going to try for the two types of jacket, but suspect neither will fit!

Went down just before 8am to see that staff farting about with stuff around the doorway. Left it a while so that I wouldn't get in their way before walking over to find the store doesn't open until 10am. DOH..!!
Quite fancy a lightweight gilet and maybe a folding bike lock for touring.

In and out in 5 minutes. Got the shoes I wanted and managed to resist everything else.
15 cars in the car park plus others on bike/foot queuing up to get in before 9am!

Cycling chaos ensued at Aldi this morning. I bought a cycling jacket (red/black) with zip off sleeves which were good value for money. A pair of cycling socks (red/black) , a cycle computer, a lightweight gilet and another zip off jacket for the misses also made their way into the basket.
The gilet is going back as there are a lot of blue marks from the packaging on the front of the white gilet. The cycle computer is also going back as the odometer only goes up to 9999 km's. I wanted a computer for cycle touring and an odometer that goes up to 100,000.
The finishing on the jackets is a bit poor with threads hanging from the stitching.
Also bought a mini wok to add to my touring cookset. It is finished with a Swiss non stick coating. I've taken the handle off which reduces weight. I've got a titanium cookset but they are a pain to get clean due to the lack of non stick.

I forgot to add that the bike locks are mega heavy. Not something I'd want to carry around for any length of time.
