hi, I want to buy Triban 5/500. I have got information that on this moment there is only 57cm frame. I'm 6"2' (188cm), my inseam 34,5" (87cm) Two people from Decathlon said to me that 57cm will be fine, but I'm almost sure it will be too small.. Bike size calculator (f.e. here ) give me an information about 59cm frame. What should I do? 60cm frame it is not available right now, so I cant even compare

The 60cm felt far too stretched out for me and I didn't feel comfortable on it. If you want one of the most accurate fits without paying for a professional one, then this one here is pretty decent: www.competitivecyclist.com/Store/catalog/fitCalculatorBike.jsp

I'm 6' 33'' inseam and ride a 60cm frame fitted with adjustable handlebar stem and fits perfetly well we're all that wee bit different when it comes to reach/comfort...

6ft and a teeny bit/34" leg - I ride a 60cm, and feel a tad stretched... my mate, who is a smidge taller than me rides a 57cm
the only way to tell for sure is wait until the 60cm is back in stock and try it out - there's no right fit: just some good guidelines, mixed into what feels right - and even then you may not get it 1005 right, I'm just about to seap the stem on mine to try and reduce my reach a bit...

I'm 5ft 11, but ride on a 60cm frame T5a, basically because I have long arms and legs. Find it very comfortable.

For a Triban, I reckon 6'2" will be a little on the large size for a 57. I'm just on 6 foot and had a 57 and it was fine, but I wouldn't want to be any taller. I would suspect a stupid amount of seatpost showing (even more than a tour pro!) and you will feel a little cramped up front. But I guess you will need to try before you buy, if you can?
P.S. Whilst the pros may look cool on their BMX sized bikes, I wouldn't want to ride one for longer than 5 minutes! ;-)

I am borderline size threshold, between 54 and 57.
Went for 54 as always liked a compact feel of being able to dominate the bike's geometry on MTBs and BMX, rather than the long wheelbase 'riding in it' sort of feel of a bigger frame.
It's horses for courses as usual though.
Bike fit keeps moving as an issue for me - IME I've been through phases, my seat post has crept up over time and is now up a little higher since last week, with no.4 visible.
I went to a 120mm stem last year when doing 'power hours ' a lot but refitted the 100mm last week for longer more varied rides, as the seat height and long stem combo was just too TT-esque for summer epics; my arms and back are now in a better tuck rather than flat, which was hard on the back after a few hours but I am still quite 'commited' in terms of shape on the bike.
You might argue that those fitting shorter stems are on a bike that's too big but then again, the saddle to bar difference is likely less severe, making the bike more 'Audax' than 'Sportive' orientated.
Bit of a ramble, but hopefully gets some further issues for consideration over a bit more.
In summary, handling, comfort and types of ride envisaged are part of the thought process IMO.
