A couple of updates to the blog. The main one is concerning retirement. I went into work this morning and emailed Human Resources my month's notice to retire on the 10th May. Choo chooo...!!

Good luck with that (and the injury of course) - scared to see how many miles your going to rack up when you actually have more free time on your hands

Cheers Damo. Just received a book this morning called "Mountain High" by Daniel Friebe. The hardback copy. What a cracking book. A must read for anyone interested in the European climbs. It goes into the history of the road and climb as well as the practicalities of climbing it. The photos taken by specialist cycling photographer Pete Goding are amazing.

@davefy7 why not have a crack at Pikes Peak in Colorado? You want a hill to climb and it's now fully paved all the way to the top
