I saw some bare frames ready for painting, presume it's a case of them getting onto a production run after that ... we have been given the opportunity to ask direct questions in the future if we like, although I presume they're busy sorting things out themselves at present.

Christ that saddle costs nearly as much as a whole bike!

Yep, but it is a classic, already own a red B17 standard on my Triban 3. I like your style, investing in quality parts! You could easily be using your two saddles for the next 50 years, over a number of bikes. Looking at the potential "cost per year", they are almost reasonable! I'm a bit of cheapskate, and had been thinking about the Spa Cycles Aire Titanium. About a third of the price of Brooks, if it's only half as good, is it a bargain?

Never used the SPA CYCLES saddles myself but they seem nice, I purchased the brooks not only because its the best saddle I have had but Brooks is part of English history.

I bought the B17 with copper rivets for touring donkeys years ago. Still going strong. Love it. My mate had one and burnt his ass on the rivets on one particularly hot tour.

These are still made round the corner from where I work in the heart of the Black Country. Fabulous to know we still make quality components like these
