Interested to hear about B'TWIN's thoughts about the rapid pace of change on the forum. Are there any lurkers or have we told them?

I have pinged an e-mail off to France to show them the result of the 'name question', there's a few Decathlon / B'TWIN members on here as themselves (not wearing their work hat).

Yep, love the new banner.
That's definitely the *only* thing I dislike about my Triban - the lower case 'b'twin' - The capitalised logo just looks SO much better and rivals other brand's logos that look decidedly awesome on the frame.
I don't really see it when I'm riding it though, so it's not a big deal.

I quote news from France: '... thanks for the message, it's a really good evolution for us ...' All good, everyone's happy, perhaps we can get back to riding bikes now !?!

I must say the new banner took me by surprise! Lot more polished than the original. So discount at the store for all us old members redleader?

It may well be dangerous ... although the internet does enough denting and other bike shop owners are in my circle of acquaintance already - just that Deca has loads of nice clothes n 'stuff'; I could see me having a little trinket every visit.

I'm a big fan of this site but for me the name change does rather skew its ethos. It began in order to celebrate one of the best value bikes of all time. Soon after I remember Redleader was in 2 minds whether it should be extended to include the T5 and T7 and asked for members' thoughts. In my view it was right to include them because they share the Triban heritage and are also great value bikes, but extending this to the whole btwin range, including all future products we know nothing about, just doesn't sit well with me. It also now has the smell of simply promoting Decathlon rather than a particular outstanding product. Any big bucks buyout offers yet Redleader?
I'm not intending to be negative because this site has been very helpful with a great camaraderie. It would be shame if that changed.
