For those members close to Donington Park race circuit, or anyone else who feels like making the trip..... www.donington-park.co.uk/events/2014/05/06/cycle-in-the-park/There several such rides throughout the year which I missed last year because I didn't know they existed. At the moment these dates are listed as... May 6th May 13th June 19th June 24th July 15th July 22nd Aug 12th Aug 26th Sept 15th Sept 23rd Please take this list as provisional, dates may change, plus I may have missed some and I'm also mildly dyspraxic. If you get there and there are cars whizzing around, it's your fault for not checking, ok? I know others from here went on them last year and reported it was fun.

Do we have to ride up Craner Curves or down them? I suppose that the direction will be as the track is normally driven/ridden. Which was does that make it? I know it's clockwise, but I can't picture the track around there. I've just remembered that I'v ridden around a bit of the track as a youngster. I went up there with a mate when the were building it. Part of the circuit was 'open' and we just wandered in, and had a scoot up and down the tarmac in the region of the Coppice, which used to be where the main entrance gates were.

Donington Park about an hour's drive from me, but I might make the trip once or twice if the other half lets me. It seems like a good way to get up my mileage without traffic getting in the way.

Sounds like a plan!
(Although the other half says 'why do you want to drive that far to ride your bike!?' - Pregnant woman are unreasonable!)

I still quite fancy this (and the Missus still doesn't understand the need to drive for just over an hour to go for a bike ride!).

I'm hoping to be there. I've considered riding to the track, it's about 8 miles away from me, whether I do will depend on how fit I feel on the day and what sort of day I've had at work (There's a big hill in the way )
