Looks like it's Lidl's turn to do it's bike offers again from 3rd April.
Nothing too exciting there, this time!

Β£5.99 is good for a multitool with a chain tool on it. I always carry a chain tool as you may need to remove a broken link even if you're carrying a quick link to repair it. Havn't tried this one but the similar Aldi one works (tried cheap ones from hong kong that bend when you show them a chain) I like to have a tool kit on every bike to save swapping round and forgetting things.

Just speaking from my own experience with one of these from last year which was, it just jammed up, tipped up and dumped the cleaning fluid on the floor. So it went back for a refund.

If they're doing them this time round I recommend their excellent wireless computer. For Β£6.99 it's a great price and unlike the Aldi one can be stem mounted. In fact, someone did a brilliant review of it a while back here: triban3owners.freeforums.net/thread/1208/lidl-crivit-wireless-computer-99I also recommend the chain cleaner. I had no problems with it at all and I found it very effective - and a lot cheaper than most of the competition. Richc must have been unlucky with his one. Their chain spray is good too, the ingredients seem very similar to GT85.

My park chain cleaner thing is ace! I've got one too and not had any problems with it. Having moved to 10 speed and not currently having a quick link in order to remove the chain, it's the best/easiest way to clean the chain on the bike.

Yeah but I just noticed the price of them! Can get multiple chains for same cost. But yeah really quick and easy to use. I got mine free from Evans when they sent me some cycling shorts with pubes in lol.

Time to own up as the idiot of the day. Wandered into Lidl tonight hoping they still had some chain cleaners left and a multitool for the tool bag, Searched the whole place and couldn't find anything. Did the non bloke thing and ended up asking someone to have them point out the 3rd is tomorrow!
