Evening again!
Okay, short version of a long story - I ordered the last 54 Triban Red on Friday online but the order had a problem online and I didn't get the bike. Decathlon were GREAT and very apologetic so have offered me a little financial help with buying one of the new series of bikes due in over the next few weeks.
The 300 is basically the current 3A frame and spec. The 500SE is the current 5 frame with an excellent spec.
My sole question is: bearing in mind I am a total road bike novice, will the 5 frame be "too much" for me, in terms of posture etc. The sense I get is that the 3 series frame is a perfect frame for beginners. I guess I am trying to avoid buying a frame conceived and tuned for experienced riders.
Or am I way over thinking this??!
Thanks a lot

Or am I way over thinking this??! Yes, as far as I'm aware, it's the same frame under the paint.

I think the frames are the same but the 500SE will have carbon forks which will make for a more comfortable ride.
"Too much for you" and inexperience doesn't come into it.
I'd go for the 500SE if you can afford it.

Hey guys n girls, new to all this and been debating what bike to buy myself.
After reading pages and pages I'm still no closer to choosing one doh!
I had my heart on the T3 red, but sadly not got my size I then came across the t300 white that just didn't do it for me how ever it's here now to buy as I need a bike ASAP. After lots of googling and finally finding this helpful forum I read about the T500se that sounds perfect the only problem is I can't find a release date at all...?
And as I'm a noob I was wondering if there is any major difference with the T300 white and the halfords carrera zelos black n blue bike?
Thanks in advance.

Nick go for the 500se.
Downhillspiral I would wait for the triban, you won't regret it and they are due out anytime now.

All been said above, except the black T5a is the same as the T500. The only difference being the T500 has Shimano brake callipers.

Most of my friends are telling me to get a fixie, but soon as I seen the triban 3 red I wanted it just a shame they don't have my size. Will wait for the 500se then.

Are your friends hipster types? No chance of finding a Red T3 on the used market? If not then I would definitely be going for the 500se.
