Having not suffered a single p******* in 18 months and approx 2600 miles I have now had four (2 x front, 2 x rear)in the last 120 miles. Today's rear left threads of canvas sticking out the centre of (what's left of the tread). The original tyres were replaced at 660 miles so these Zaffiros have lasted 2195 miles plus a few hours on the turbo. Having already purchased replacement Zaffiro's I decided to fit them this evening along with the Clarks brakes that I purchased several months ago, replacing the original b'twin brakes which have lasted 2855 miles. The rear tyre will be binned and the front will join the queue for use on the spare wheel on the turbo. Thought I better do the job this evening as planning my first imperial century on Saturday and want to minimise the chances of a technical miles from home. Just out of curiosity what sort of mileages are people getting out of tyres/brakes?

Sounds about right on our roads. The tyres the only contact you want with the road and at speed you need brakes that'll pull you up, same as any vehicle. Best swap em out sooner than later.
