Has anyone updated Strava mobile to the new version yet? If so what do you think of it?
I'm unsure about updating as there are a few negs due to it being a combined running/cycling version. I think it may default to running on start up. There are better links to social media with this version.

Yep, it's better for giving Kudos, which helps if you've amassed a lot of nice Triban owner mates, other than that, not really tested it much - I've always had an issue with the phone updating after being on PC - this still happens.

Cheers Rads. I'll hang back for a while and await further feedback.

The kudos and ride overview is a lot better imo. I don't use it to track rides any more so I can't comment on anything like GPS or battery life improvements.

On a separate issue but kind of related as it logs your Strava info and posts it here; what's going on with your Veloviewer data? I know you ride a lot more than me, ahem, not that I'm counting much (this year Strava says 2.25 times my distance ) ... but not 7.75 times (your YTD distance is showing 7030 miles / 11300 kms - that's a lot for March) ?!

If anyone can, then it's on the cards for you - although at the moment, I believe the science states that technically it's impossible for humans ... but then you may have transcended normal existence and reached a state of pure energy by then.

Oh.... you have a way with words, rads. I've probably plummeted downwards since my last update. Strava is getting ever so popular around here and the young kids on the block are taking over.

I know, the TTers have a habit of taking big dents out your VV score around here, the swines. Some of my never to be visited again segments further afield take a regular bashing - suppose I need to find new ones I can defend locally . Although I do like mine trickling up at times, usually when the sun's out and no racing happens around here, then the new recruits wander through putting numbers in the ranks and adding the odd .01 on lol.

I've updated strava dave, everything seems fine.Haven't had to change anything regarding run/cycle setting. Still keeps nicking altitude though. I seem to be stuck 89/90 mark on veloviewer. To many quick boys and girls round here.

I'm screwed on Veloviewer. Many of the local routes I take had the Tour of Britain go over AND the new Ipswich and Suffolk Coastal GP.
