PS - Good if people can follow Bri's (and other's) lead and get an avatar up, it helps with people remembering who they've talked to; image doesn't have to be your own mug if you're the shy type. who is that chap in your avatar Rad?

The forum looks good, my only annoyance is that when clicking a thread title it doesn't take you to the most recent unread post. It would be great if that could be done.

It does that for me when using the top right box Phil - where exactly is the issue for you?
The pages can get a bit long elsewhere but I don't know if there's much that can be done - Redleader may be able to suss it?
You can pick the page number next to the title to get nearer in the thread listings but I guess you're after the same thing as with the quick selection 'Participation / New' box?

Sorry I'm not following you, top right box? Do you mean the actions box? I don't see a "go to first unread post" type option if you do.
I do pick the page number to get me closer, but I've used forums in the past which when clicking the last page number it's taken you to the first unread post rather than the top of the page. Was hoping that could be done, or maybe as is on BikeRadar a link to newest unread post on the page. Understand though that the forums are free so may not be possible to do this.
I have to say I'm enjoying reading so far, you're a much friendlier/less intimidating bunch than the beginners section of BikeRadar for example.

I mean the box in the second line of text.
Re operation - we'll set Redleader on it, he's the theatre manager, I'm just here for the ice cream.

Redleader saves the day! When you go into the board eg "Triban Talk" you see the list of threads. Any threads containing new posts will have a "NEW" icon next to it. Simply hover over the icon then left click. It will then take you directly to the first unread post. Hope it helps you all out. Try it then praise me....... if it works! (should do!)

Blimey Bri, who's that young cyclist with the cool MacMillan Jersey on your avatar ? Ha ha, there is less of me now, down about 2 1/2 stone. I had to change the old avatar as I'm 51 next month.

Nought to do with me - it's most likely a term set in the standard settings; we'll have to ask Captain Bligh !

Hi all.
I'm playing around with the forum backgrounds etc to make it a bit easier on the eye. I thought the T3 image was a bit stark and distracting as well as being too much T3 dominant. After all, we are now the Triban Owners Forum and not just the T3 Owners! Bear with me folks, I'll be adjusting things as and when I have time!

Hi Redleader, appreciate all the work and enthusiasm you've put in to your (our!) site since January. I love it!! I've noticed today you have been experimenting with backgrounds. While it was nice (at first?) to have lots of T3s scooting around behind the active elements, I must say that the slightly patterned red header etc made the site instantly more 'readable'. At the moment you have a plain grey background and header up and this, for me at least, is even better. Makes everything less fussy and slicker. However- You are the boss........ w
