Has anyone got the lidl toolkit? Is it worth getting? I looked at that last night, certainly lots of stuff on there (more than I consider necessary in a portable multitool). The weight of the toolkit is pretty hefty, personally not something I'd want to carry around in my jersey pocket or saddle bag I picked up some gloves, socks and the track pump. Pump just about gets the T3 tires to my firmness liking, will be great for the kids bikes and the MTBs.

I bought the pump a while back. It gets my tyres up to 130psi without any difficulty.

hmmm, don't think mine goes go up that high but have no way of checking. They pass the thumb-squeeze firmness test so I'm happy.

Thanks for the heads-up on this, much appreciated.
Nipped out at lunch and was amazed that anything was in stock, not usually the way! Bought the lights, floor pump and portable toolkit. As Al says, the toolkit's weighty - however, even with the toolkit inside, the bag's big enough to squeeze the lights in on top. For me, the bag's going to get used for decamping the lights and other pocket fluff after a commute or when in town, with the toolkit making it into the bag for longer runs, and maybe even being replaced for something less bulky some time.
Wish all the other stuff had been around when I was in the market for it a little while back!

Has anyone got the lidl toolkit? Is it worth getting? It's a saddle bag which contains a multi tool, a puncture repair kit and tyre levers. Gotta be worth Β£4.99 of anyones money

Any fatties out there like me will be pleased to know that the XL in the shorts is on the large size and fit a 'real world' 2XL-er! Unfortunately the shirts made me look like a sausage! Shame, cos they looked nice.

Bought a jersey and some shorts. Beware, I normally take a large in jerseys. The Lidl jersey in large fitted across the shoulders but the length was ridiculously long. Swapped it for a medium, fits great. The shorts are quite generous too but not too bad, the legs will get bigger with more cycling. Not struck on the blue trim but they'll do for the commute. Red check the label the blue might just be the ladies sizing.;-)

Purchase update, snapped the floor pump head in half earlier when locking it onto the valve. The plastic does seem more brittle than the floor pump I'd been using previously, but am not ruling out luddite technique at this stage...

I used the Lidl gloves on my lunchtime ride yesterday. No problems and comfy enough for Β£3

Shame, cos they looked nice. I still think I am a 'real world' 2XL-er, so I bought on of each of the XL ones. Alas, all that weight I lost cycling for the last 6 months, means I should go replace them with a smaller size. Oh well.
