I'm hopefully going to be upgrading my road bike in the next month or so and unfortunately my red T3 will be making way.
My problem is I have no idea what price to put for the asking price. I know the basic red T3's can be picked up new for £249 if they can be found and that would give me a guide to go on.
I have near enough changed everything on my T3, all that remains are the handlebars, frame and forks.
Upgrades include: Full 10 speed Tiagra 4600 groupset, 52/39 double chainset, 12-30 cassette. Deda Elementi Drittissimo carbon seatpost Fizik Arione Versus saddle Deda Quattro 2 Stem (90mm) Shimano R501 wheels with Conti Gatorskins. Weight 9.5kg
The bike is in an excellent and clean condition, used outdoors in good weather and indoors on trainer.
I know some will say it will only go for what people are prepared to pay and I am still undecided on whether to chance fleabay, advertise it here, gumtree or the local ads.
Looking forward to hearing any suggestions/advice.
Thanks

Did you keep all the original parts? I would always prefer to buy a bike as close to stock as possible. Have you considered reverting back to stock (or as close as possible) then selling the wheels etc as parts? Might make more on it this way and ensure that you are getting a decent return on your upgrades.
The groupo would definitely be worth keeping but the T3 is an entry level bike and upgraded groupos, carbon seat posts and fancy saddles might not be of value to the target market.

Spec similar to the trek 1.5 now which retails at about £800. Big problem is the name, even thought the frame is probably as good if not better than the Trek. I would agree that you would probably make more money turning it back to stock and selling the accessories separately. Why you selling? Would need to spend quite a lot to get a better specced bike than that now.

@germcevoy I think I kept minimal parts, sold chainset and shifters. Still have saddle, stem and what ever else would sell on fleabay. stevo had the bike on cyclesheme which has just ended and hopefully upgrading to the Planet X Pro Carbon Spoakes Its a 54cm frame.

They generally don't seem to sell for more than £250 on eBay these days even with upgrades. I guess upgrades increase the used factor in peoples minds.
A used low end bike at the end of the day, that was £300 new with warranty etc. Was/are selling then for £250 in Decathlon recently new too.
Best selling the most valuable parts if you have stock still.

Agree its unlikely you'll get your money back for the upgrades, if you've not got the original parts could you px with someone wanting to upgrade theirs? Or put some mudguards on and keep it for winter?
