Doesn't appear to be anything that amazing about it?
£1,000 will get you a planet x pro carbon with full ultegra leaving you £500 for a pretty decent set of wheels.

Facet 5 is currently £1600 looking at it. Depends whether the extras are worth £600
On the planet x brakes are one step down from ultegra, I doubt you'd notice the difference. Cranks are also one step down from ultegra I believe. Wheels (well, RS81 C24) are £380 to buy new.
Not saying it isn't a decent bike, but I could buy a Planet X pro carbon, a set of RS81 C24s, Ultegra brakes and Ultegra chainset for £602 taking the total cost to £1602. I'd then have a random set of wheels, and 105 equivalent brakes and crankset all brand new and unused to sell on. I wouldn't call the facet 5 a bargain, but it's not a bad deal for someone who just wants to buy a bike that's ready to go and wants everything to be ultegra whether they'd notice the difference or not.

I have a Planet X Pro Carbon Ultegra I bought last year. The cranks are Ultegra, the brakes are Ultegra too. Admittedly the wheels are pretty basic but so far as I'm concerned I've got a carbon fiber bike with a full Ultegra (albeit 6700 rather than 6800) groupset.

Maybe they've changed the spec? Looking at it at the moment it comes with (or says it does anyway) Shimano R561 cranks and brakes, which from what I can see online are 105 equivalent, Shimano R661 being the Ultegra equivalent. Not that I think you'd notice the difference on brakes and cranks at that level.
Either way the pro carbon is a cracking deal for a grand

Triban 3 is my Winter bike now! Still at least it's still spotless
