Yeah i'm guessing the guy that fit the peddles forgot to give me the cleats, i wasn't sure what peddles they were, he said they are used for both road / mountain bikes and are reversible, i did take a photo though.. cdn.imghack.se/images/0ebb63fd138e6c6de619a14b60b39c1d.jpgdo i just ask for SPD cleats?

Any Shimano SPD compatible cleats should work, they look like this: Just avoid the spd-sl type which are bigger and use 3 bolts.

Smashing, thanks again, after over a month of browsing bikes / budgeting / exchanging, this time tomorrow i can finally get to the fun part, dashing home from work while my housemates are stuck in traffic!

You should have got cleats with the pedals, if you go back they'll give them you. Which store did you go to?

I suspected that was the case, the Decathlon store in Giltbrook (some slightly overweight guy). The guy also tried to keep the original peddles until I was walking out and remembered them, or maybe he was just a little slow, either way the cost and effort of driving back there hardly seems worth it. I may try filling out an online form, at this point i just want to get riding to be honest.

They can be expensive so it's worth asking, you could just ring up. I'm in tonight from 5.
