For me it at the price point you are talking about, it would be PlanetX. They have carbon bikes with Tiagra for £700 and for £1000 you get Ultegra. Not bad really, but I do love my T3.

If you are travelling to Planet X, make sure to visit BOTH Stores, they are only 15 mins away from each other. M1 Jct 24 and 36 Why would you go to both stores? Are they very different? Yes, the Barnsley Store is much bigger, According to reports, the built up stock in each store is different. There is a lot of ON ONE stuff in sheffield. Barnsley is more road and triathlon.

I was looking at the Specialized Allez at roughly £500 from Evans.
Nice looking bike and receives good reviews just like the Tribans

Actually, just checked and Planet X are covered. Bit of a trek though, may combine it with a visit to family round there. Not sure where you're based but Planet x also sell bikes through a few (?) other outlets. I know for definite that there's a triathlon shop in St Albans called "St Albans Triathlon" I think, who stock Planet x bikes. Even if that shop's not covered by the scheme at least you could go and see the bikes in the flesh. Try googling or give planet x a call to see if there's other outlets nearer. Thanks for the tip.

I know it's a bit cheeky could you get the independent shop to purchase a t7 and you buy it from them on the c2w scheme?

Similar dillema here, so watching this thread with interest.
Bought the T3 last year as a 'try it' for starting cycling; thinking if I take to it I can keep or upgrade, if I'm half and half, keep the T3 as it's a decent bike and if not, bung it on ebay. 8 months on and I love the bike and love cycling. So looking to upgrade. Unfortunately employer's C2W scheme only opens in July and then exclusive to Halfords. Such is the C2W I would go to the maximum £999.99999 value as it would actually cost 40% less than that.
I have heard tales of LBS and other dealers taking Halford's vouchers in payment. Anyone else heard this??
Especially if deca do that. Happy days, we're on a minimum of T7 or the FC as I'm so smitten with the bike and the brand, I would a million time sprefer to send my custom to Deca or an independant than Halfords. However, reviews and advice from more knowledgeable people than I, say the Boardman Carbon Team at £999 is a great bike and as good a buy (in a different class of course) than the T3.
Thoughts anyone?
