So easy to do (been there, done that) ...... glad you're ok Dave ..... at least you'll get a nice new shiny lid out of it.

Looks knackered Dave!!! Hope you're ok and not too badly rashed up. Trouble is with a lot of us now is that we're quite a few years older than we were when we were falling off our old Raleighs, we don't bounce as well and the pain stays with us for a good while longer. Rest up Dave and get healed, it's crap weather out there anyway!

Get well soon Dave. Almost wish I hadn't looked at this thread now. Still not confident (nor capable) enough to go anywhere near as fast as you lot. Must be going through that mid-life crisis thing still, as I feel as fragile as ... anything.. & am a bit nervous of taking a tumble at speed! It was bad enough coming off at 1-2 mph after an 'unclipping incident'. With my weight, gravity really isn't my friend!

Thanks mate. They were saying on the Eurosport cycling coverage yesterday that Pro riders crash about 8 or 9 times per season on average. They just get up and get on with it. I checked my 1.5 mile GPS track last night to see how fast I was going at the time. Turned out it was 20 mph but there's no permanent damage so no harm done. I'm looking out of the window thinking I should be out there. Lovely sunny day.
