Might have to look into one of those, been looking of something a bit more substantial than a sandwich bag to put my iPhone/keys/inhaler in.

Latex gloves idea has been adopted so I'm now carrying;
Inner tube 2 tyre levers 2 Allen keys that seem to fit everything Latex gloves Patch kit Emergency gel
I prefer to go without a saddle bag but not all my jerseys have suitable enough pockets.

A controversial one this, but I'm thinking of carrying some of these in future.... Now, I realise fully that if you are in pain then it's your body telling you that perhaps you are doing too much and it's time to stop. But if you're miles away from home and and it's just you and a pain that's stopping you from riding, then perhaps a couple of these will help? This became an issue for me and the two sons when we were on the Dougie Mac 50 mile in May. Self and eldest son (Chip Slog) often ride together and know what each other can handle. We are fit (he should be, he's only 23!) but, bless him, he says that I am the 'stronger' out of the three of us, which might be stretching the truth but makes me smile all the same. Younger son though, doesn't ride as much as he thinks and wasn't as fit as we thought despite playing loads of sport. He got into difficulties with pain (not going to say where, which should give you a clue) and we had to stop at around 20 miles for a break. Eldest stayed with him while i did the domestique bit, riding to the nearest shops and returning with the pictured ibuprofen and chocolate bars. 15 minutes after taking the tablets, he's feeling lots better and we were able to finish. So, a little packet of tablets is going in my saddle bag.
